They all have one thing in common - they all need to be designed and in order for them to function as a brand they need to be designed professionally.
They need to be consistent, be properly executed and must not be let down by poor execution. Would you buy a Ford Mondeo or a Jaguar? Same skeleton, different skin. People buy things because they are seduced into buying a product. Why do they buy? They buy because it looks or feels nice to them. Good design and branding helps to sell your product or service. FACT!
Design and branding is even more important in these testing economic times when there are lots of products all screeming for the same shelf space. It makes sense for your branding to stand out and be designed to suit your product and service, not just an also-ran thats just so happens to fit the bill. atom truly believe that design and branding plays a vital role in whether a consumer is swayed towards buying into a particular product or service. If something looks like it is produced on a shoe string budget, poorly executed or designed by your mate who has a computer, then it will do more damage to your image than you can imagine.
