Urquhart Opticians are a local Prestwick business with practises throughout Ayrshire.
I met the owners of this business at a local business association meeting and they asked me as a local Prestwick design company to help them with a branding project they had. The project was to celebrate the business' centennial anniversary.
They wanted to create a logo for their brand campaign to celebrate this momentous occasion.
The campaign logo was actually quite a simple little logo and in fact, the 100 years lent itself very well to the lenses of a pair of glasses.
The logo was used on a raft of printed matter to promote the new campaign including a provenance card, lens cloth, retail bags, business cards and welcome folders that were used for customer prescriptions and other client information.
The campaign design concept was designed to reflect the varying eye colours that all humans are born with. Seven in fact (I had to google that one) and this was then used as a basis for the campaign identity.
All in all a fab little project to work on and albeit being used for a short space of time was successful in promoting the momentous birthday of the business.
